DuPont Fabros Trust is a real estate investment trust that specializes in wholesale data centers. DFT was looking to purchase a data center facility with good proximity to power and fiber. We identified an off-market transaction, conducted power and fiber analysis, acted as liaison with the local government and facilitated a property tax abatement that reduced DFT’s tax obligation for 10 years. We also helped DFT secure an anchor tenant to lease more than 5MW of the 36MW, 500,000-square-foot property.
